Bexley Beaumont has announced the further expansion of its service offering with the creation of a specialist Social Housing team.
The unit will be led by two vastly experienced Partners, Sarah Savage and Amy Stirton, and follows a surge in demand for help from private and social landlords.
The decision comes amid a remarkable spell of growth which has seen Bexley Beaumont make 13 partner appointments since the turn of the year alone.
Bexley Beaumont's Chief Executive Karen Bexley has described how this latest initiative has added even greater breadth to the firm's Real Estate unit.
She said that it was another important part of the firm's ambitions to offer business clients a "truly comprehensive" portfolio of services.
"Social Housing is very much a new individual service area for us but it builds upon expertise within our firm which has already had a real impact on our caseload."
"In addition to having bags of experience and immense credibility with clients and peers alike, Sarah and Amy have worked very successfully together before."
"We regard it as something of a continued evolution of our broader Real Estate offering and another key point in our becoming a full-service firm, able to address the needs of business clients no matter how complex they may be."
"Above and beyond the work done by Sarah and Amy over the years in the Social Housing sector, the flexibility of our structure means that clients of the team will be able to call on our other lawyers to help with issues such as regulation, data protection, employment and the environment as and when they need them."
Ms Savage joined Bexley Beaumont in July last year after almost a decade at Forbes Solicitors, where she was a Partner and Head of its Housing Management Team.
An acknowledged expert advocate on behalf of social and private landlords, helping them establish and manage their businesses as well as dealing with tenancy management and enforcement issues.
In addition to featuring in both of the UK's leading legal rankings, Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners, Ms Savage is qualified to represent clients directly in the High Court and trains other lawyers and housing professionals on a range of related topics.
Ms Stirton, meanwhile, spent most of her career to date working alongside Ms Savage at Forbes, building up a specialism advising registered housing provides on strategic and operational issues.
She has become renowned nationally for her ability to resolve anti-social behaviour cases in particular but has also been involved in resolving difficulties arising from organised crime and gang activity.
Ms Stirton's arrival last month means that Bexley Beaumont now has 19 partners across its real estate, planning and development team out of a total fee earning complement of 61 partners and five Associate Solicitors despite only opening its doors in 2020.
Bexley Beaumont's appeal across the legal industry was illustrated by the results of an independent study published by Codex Edge late last year.
Although many law firms struggled to attract talent during 2023, it concluded that the partner ranks of Bexley Beaumont had grown by 27 per cent in just a year.
Bexley Beaumont's achievements have seen it claim a succession of important legal industry awards - most recently, the Law Firm of the Year Award at the Modern Law Awards last month.
