Bexley Beaumont has further underlined its credentials with the recruitment of one of the UK's most experienced Health and Safety lawyers.
Gary Lewis has arrived as Partner in the latest post in a 30-year career, during which he has advised industrial clients involved in numerous accident investigations.
That vast experience has seen him singled out for praise in Britain's leading legal rankings, described as "top notch" in Legal 500 and "exceptional" in Chambers and Partners.
Bexley Beaumont Chief Executive Karen Bexley said that Mr Lewis' appointment was further evidence of the firm's ability to attract lawyers of the "very highest calibre".
"It's immensely reassuring for clients to know that our respective teams are full of individuals who can deal with the sort of issues which are very important to them."
"What is even more of a draw is knowing that they are able to rely on professionals who have been at the top of the respective disciplines for many years."
"Gary is just such an individual - someone who is held in high regard by clients and legal peers alike for amassing an incredible breadth of experience across a variety of industries."
"Gary adds yet more valuable capabilities to our Health, Safety and Environmental team and joins us because, as with all of our new arrivals, he is a great fit with our other partners."
"He opted to work us because he understands the merits of our distinctive team culture and what the collaboration which it makes possible means both for him as a lawyer and for our clients."
Mr Lewis joins following almost 20 years in the Manchester office of the international law firm Squire Patton Boggs.
Over the course of his career, he has advised many leading national and international brands - particularly construction and manufacturing companies - facing health, safety and environmental prosecutions as well as charges relating to corporate manslaughter, food safety and trading standards.
According to Legal 500, Mr Lewis is said to be "top notch" and able to inspire "adopt immediate and full confidence".
Chambers and Partners, meanwhile, has characterised him as “exceptional in his knowledge and methodical in his approach”.
He is the eighth partner to join Bexley Beaumont since the start of this year and increases its current partner ranks to 55. The firm also has five Associate Solicitors despite only opening its doors in 2020.
Its appeal across the legal industry was illustrated by an independent study conducted by Codex Edge last year.
Although many law firms struggled to attract talent during 2023, the research concluded that the partner ranks of Bexley Beaumont had grown by 27 per cent in just a year.
Bexley Beaumont's achievements have seen it claim a succession of important legal industry awards - most recently, the Law Firm of the Year Award at the Modern Law Awards earlier this month.
The Awards, which are in their tenth year, were established to celebrate "excellence and innovation within the legal industry".el celebrates excellence and innovation within the legal industry".
All five of the firms shortlisted had to demonstrate substantial progress over the course of the last 12 months in terms of "strategy, growth, financial performance, employee development, diversity and training".
