Bexley Beaumont Adds Strength in Depth with Latest Midland Hires

Bexley Beaumont has announced the appointment of a further two new faces in the Midlands.

Partner Zafar Rafiq becomes the sixth member of the firm's Corporate team in the region with a specialism in Restructuring & Insolvency and arrives at the same time as Real Estate specialist Holly Smith.

She takes the total number of lawyers advising a growing roster of clients on Real Estate, Planning and Environmental matters to 20.

They join just weeks after Bexley Beaumont also added Birmingham-based Legal Director Phil Miles to its Corporate team.

Chief Executive Karen Bexley said that the new hires were evidence of the tremendous momentum behind the firm.

Bexley Beaumont has now appointed 13 partners across the country and all legal disciplines this year, six of whom have arrived in the last month.

"We count ourselves as extremely fortunate to benefit from the impetus which we've established."

"When we launched, we were determined to attract the most capable individuals and provide them with the kind of support which might allow them to do work of the very highest quality."

"It is immensely gratifying to find that approach is not only vindicating their decision to come aboard but is convincing an increasing number of their peers of the merits of working with us."

"As a result, we have amassed real strength of depth in terms of fee earners operating in our key practice areas and that has, in turn, brought a considerable influx of extra work."

"Zafar and Holly are proof positive of our desire to assist the Midlands' business community reach its own full potential by expanding our operations."

Mr Rafiq arrives as an experienced Corporate and Restructuring lawyer.

Ms Smith has over 20 years’ experience advising on commercial property matters across sectors and on development matters for local and national housebuilders.

The firm's other Midlands lawyers specialise in corporate and commercial work, intellectual property, real estate, dispute resolution, employment, construction and private wealth management.

The appointments all demonstrate why Bexley Beaumont has made substantial impact since opening its doors for the first time in 2020.

Only last month, it was named Law Firm of the Year title at the Modern Law Awards - the second notable prize which it has scooped in the space of the last 12 months.

Bexley Beaumont also made waves in December by topping a ranking of the UK's fastest growing top 200 law firms.
