Strong Growth Record Earns Bexley Beaumont Invitation to Legal Conference

Chief Executive Karen Bexley is to address a panel discussion at the latest edition of the Law Firm Ambition event in London next month.

Her appearance follows Bexley Beaumont topping a ranking of growth by firms outside the country's top 50 legal brands compiled by law industry research specialist Codex Edge for the second successive year.

The firm's impressive record has also recently been singled out for further praise by the professional consultancy PwC.

Ms Bexley, who co-founded Bexley Beaumont in 2020, has been specifically asked to appear at Law Firm Ambition to describe Bexley Beaumont's success in attracting legal talent.

She said: "We really do believe that the progress which we have seen is down to establishing a clear vision of what we want to do and a fundamental culture which everyone in the firm is wholly committed to.

"It is not something which people merely pay lip service to. It influences our recruitment and the strong degree of collaboration between lawyers working in specialisms which might well be kept separate elsewhere.

"Having such strong foundations and allowing lawyers to have greater autonomy over how they work is of proven appeal to ambitious individuals wanting to take their careers further.

"That combination continues to resonate, as we can see from ongoing discussions with the lawyers wanting to join us.

"Our growth is not just for its own sake, however. By staying true to our values and attracting high calibre lawyers and support staff, we firmly believe that we are ideally placed for the future."

Ms Bexley will be one of three panellists taking part in the 'Competing for Talent' discussion at the conference being staged at the London headquarters of the Royal College of Physicians on June the 17th.

Law Firm Ambition is a resource for law firms, designed to provide them with advice and insights from the industry’s foremost experts on everything from insurance to compliance and finance.

Bexley Beaumont's contribution is arguably richly merited following several years of sustained growth.

The most recent annual study by Codex Edge found that the firm's partner ranks across all its service areas grew by 60 per cent during 2024.

The consultancy outlined how 541 law practices had closed in the 12 months to February last year but concluded that certain firms, including Bexley Beaumont, were thriving.

Bexley Beaumont's partner numbers, PwC calculated, had increased by 365 per cent since its launch due, in part, to its having "a clear plan for its direction of travel".

The Law Firm Ambition conference coincides with another example of the impact made by Bexley Beaumont.

On the same day, the firm will be one of 10 in the running for the New Law Business of the Year category at The Lawyer Awards.

It is Bexley Beaumont's third successive shortlisting in a prizegiving hailed by organisers as celebrating "the very best of the legal industry".

The firm had appeared on the shortlist for Law Company of the Year in the previous two years.
