The Bexley Beaumont Construction Team specialise in all aspects of construction law, advising clients on a wide variety of construction, building, telecommunications, rail and civil engineering projects.
The team advises clients on the many and various issues that can impact upon a project through its lifecycle from pre-contract to post-completion. This includes: (i) helping clients draft, negotiate and manage contracts; (ii) providing clients with strategic and dispute avoidance advice during the construction and engineering process; and (iii) assisting clients resolve delay, variation, defects, payment and termination disputes using adjudication, litigation, arbitration, mediation, expert determination and conciliation.
With adjudication being a compulsory dispute resolution mechanism that applies to the UK construction industry, the team has acted as lead representative in over 700 adjudications resolving claims relating to defects in the works, delay and disruption of the works, extension of time for completion of the works, interim payments, the final account and contract termination.
