Jane is an intellectual property specialist with over 25 years’ experience of providing pragmatic and creative solutions to her clients, helping them introduce relevant strategies to achieve their goals. Her career began in London, working at Nabarro and Olswang. She has extensive knowledge gained in-house working with IP teams for large global organisations prior to joining Bexley Beaumont in 2023.

Jane advises on a broad range of commercial intellectual property matters, drafting and negotiating contractual arrangements and providing strategic advice on the protection, maintenance, use, exploitation and acquisition of intellectual property.

Her client base is diverse, ranging from multinational companies, to SMEs and individuals. She has wide-ranging expertise gained across many industries, in particular, the aerospace, defence, petrochemicals, oil and gas, vacuum and abatement, glass, pharmaceuticals, engineering, and manufacturing sectors. Jane’s scientific background puts her in a unique position, enabling her to understand her clients’ technology, as well as the rights protecting it.

Jane advises on all areas of commercial intellectual property matters, including patents, know-how, trade secrets, confidential information, trade marks, copyright, data and designs. She has a wealth of experience advising on licensing, research and development projects, industry and university collaborations, grant funded research projects, tech transfer, IP risk analysis, joint ventures and diversification projects and advising on IP best practice and policy. She has worked with spin out companies both during their inception and subsequent activities. Jane also advises on material transfer agreements, evaluation agreements, co-ownership, sponsorship and merchandising agreements, manufacturing and supply agreements, IP portfolio management and consultancy agreements.
