Michael is a specialist corporate and commercial solicitor with over 20 years’ experience at major regional law firms, acting as a lead advisor to SME businesses across all industries and with a particular interest and niche specialism in pharmacy sale transactions.

Michael is a highly effective operator, known for his unwavering calm and tenacity focused on achieving his clients’ goals. Providing clear commercially focused advice, in plain English, is of paramount importance. As is dealing with other parties to any transaction in a collaborative, friendly and constructive manner.

Michael is part of a very small club of solicitors who have trained as an accountant which brings great understanding to the technical elements of any sale transaction. Michael has also owned and managed his own practice, and his family operates its own online retail business, giving him an invaluable insight and understanding of the demands and pressures of owning and managing a business.

Michael acts on all sale transactions (including trade sales, MBOs, MBIs, private equity sales etc.) employee ownership trust (EOT) disposals, corporate re-structuring, shareholder agreements, share option schemes, partnership agreements, supply terms and conditions and bespoke (non-regulated) commercial contracts.

Away from work, Michael is married with two hockey playing teenage daughters. When not spectating beside a hockey pitch, Michael enjoys the great outdoors, and can be found doing any number of things from mountain and road cycling, to skiing, golfing, walking and gardening.
