Phil is a Commercial Litigator but with specialist focus on Finance Litigation. He predominantly acts for lenders in recovering secured and unsecured lending but also acts for general commercial clients in resolving contractual disputes. The types of matters he acts on include claims against borrowers, claims against personal guarantors and appointing LPA Receivers in respect of secured properties.
He and his team deal with the entire recovery process from initial letters before claim through to enforcement of county court judgments. He and his team also act for clients in winding up and bankruptcy proceedings against company debtors and individual debtors.
He also has niche areas of practice in restitution claims for monies paid by mistake and disputes regarding the satisfactory quality of high value luxury motor vehicles.
Prior to joining Bexley Beaumont Phil was a partner at Hill Dickinson and Brabners. He is referred to in the Legal 500 for Banking Litigation by his clients as “very responsive”, “knowledgeable” and is cited as giving “comprehensive advice”.
Phil won the Law Society Proxime Accessit Prize and the Sir Graham Day Prize when graduating University with a First Class LLB Hons degree in Law.
