Karen is CEO of award-winning boutique law firm Bexley Beaumont. Prior to becoming CEO, Karen spent over a decade as a fee-share consultant having previously worked as an employment lawyer at an international law firm. She understands first-hand the issues facing consultants as well as the benefits of consultancy over senior positions in traditional law firms. Karen is an experienced and passionate leader who enjoys building and nurturing a team culture and environment. She fosters a culture of creativity and collaboration across Bexley Beaumont.
Karen was elected to The Law Society’s Council for a four-year term in 2022. In 2023 she was shortlisted for NW Business Person of the Year and for Management Partner of the Year at the Legal 500 Northern Powerhouse Awards. She is often invited to talk at national events to discuss the consultancy law firm model and frequently shares her advice and thoughts on building a strong team culture in a remote team. In 2024 she is a guest speaker at the LegalTechTalk, Europe’s event for legal transformation and has been invited to be on a panel discussing Pathway to Partnership at a Law Society Event. Karen has also appeared on Radio 4.
In addition she is an experienced non-executive director and a trustee.
