Bexley Beaumont has described being shortlisted for two prestigious legal awards as a vindication of its focus on quality.
The firm is in contention for the Boutique Law Firm of the Year title. Founders Karen Bexley and Anna Beaumont are also among those in the running in the Management Partner of the Year category of the inaugural Northern Powerhouse Awards.
The competition is organised by Legal 500 and based on the research used to compile its annual rankings of the law industry.
In this year's edition of the standings, Bexley Beaumont was recognised for its expertise in five different legal disciplines and praised for having an "outstanding...first-class" set of lawyers.
Chief Executive Karen Bexley said that this latest recognition illustrated the importance of providing "top quality service" to clients.
"This is an amazing achievement. For us to be considered in the same breadth as many leading individuals and long-established brands just three years after we launched confirms that we're very much on the right track.
"We have not been driven by growth for its own sake but by a determination to make a real difference, both in terms of how people regard fee share firms and the kind of support which clients can avail themselves of.
"Our approach means offering incredibly talented lawyers the support and the autonomy to enable them to work in the most effective way possible.
"Clients, on the other hand, can tap into vast experience in the kind of flexible way which simply doesn't happen in more traditional law firm structures.
"We have made significant progress over the course of the last year and being shortlisted for these two awards is another tremendous fillip for everyone associated with Bexley Beaumont."
The Northern Powerhouse Awards comprise 48 prizes for individuals and firms across a range of 12 legal disciplines and a further dozen operational areas.
Organisers have said that their purpose is to "recognise the lawyers, law firms and in-house legal departments setting the pace in the region, providing a platform to celebrate their achievements over the last 18 months".
Bexley Beaumont is one of three firms headquartered in the North West vying for the Boutique Law Firm award. It is also the youngest firm to be represented in the Management Partner of the Year category.
The shortlists have been compiled following research for the annual Legal 500 Solicitors guide, which is published every October.
That is based on detailed analysis by the company's team of researchers, including thousands of interviews with clients and legal peers.
Bexley Beaumont earned plaudits for the capabilities of its banking and commercial litigation teams as well as it planning, employment and parliamentary agency work.
The Legal 500 ranking was published just weeks after Ms Bexley secured election to the Law Society's ruling Council.
She had been one of 27 candidates vying for five seats representing women lawyers on the Council - described as the "collective voice" of the legal profession in England and Wales.
Along with co-founder Anna Beaumont, Ms Bexley was one of only two lawyers with Bexley Beaumont when it opened its doors in January 2020.
As well as working for clients in a variety of sectors, including retail, leisure and hospitality, pharmaceuticals, logistics, real estate and the public sector, the firm has won a string of prestigious awards.
In March, Bexley Beaumont was chosen ahead of bigger national rivals in the Business Growth category of the Modern Law Awards, set up to highlight "the successful, dynamic entrepreneurs within our industry".
It was named Start-up of The Year at the Business Masters Awards and was shortlisted for Boutique Law Firm of the Year at last year's British Legal Awards and at The Law Society Excellence in Law Awards.
Bexley Beaumont now boasts 39 partners and two associate solicitors. In addition to offices in the City of London, the firm maintains premises in the heart of Manchester's business district.
